Report on Meditation

A thought –

And surprisingly, I notice a tie to it like a cord,

wrapped around me,

and pinned at the end to a spot,

holding me there.

And its images are like old technology,

blurred, and insubstantial,

compared to the presence of some actual thing near me.

But letting it go is like a cool breeze

carrying away the stuffy air I was in.

And my body feels like I’ve fallen asleep,

and it’s at rest,

though I’m wide awake

And that wakefulness is as everything has been canceled,

and my agenda’s been cleared,

so the time is freed.

Leaving me, no trace of comparison to those details of then,

but only a moment, now,

without comparison.
