Poems & Thoughts of Rob Taylor

Gone Six Years

Going about,

I passed a glimpse of Barb’s gentle pink slippers.

Them, empty of her,

surged fourth,

and my whole surrounding

felt like a slipper she used to slip into,

and now she is out of.

Thus, one of Buddha’s three marks –

Impermanence –

Is permanent!

And emphatically real,

when at times,

seemed a little iffy –

Now being everywhere,

and out front.

And these words spilling out of her slipper,

like those did with the Bee Gees,

“ Nobody gets, too much, love anymore…”

impermanence · memory · love
