Coming Home

While traveling for longer than we've done before, I aimed to feel at home in those places we were. And was successful to do so more than ever. Repeatedly comfortable.

Been home a few days now. And been taking it easy to settle back -- no agenda but a few little things that come up, a little like the very sparse snow falling now that will show no accumulation.

Just now, meditating, I am back -- at ease, my body in its place, in this house. Faint sounds surround, our familiar birds, each with its characteristics, go about their sensible actions so near to us.

But I especially feel the territory laying out around me -- familiar, dear, amicable, lovely, intimately connected to me. Home. My spot on the earth and me.
