Better Spaces
I see in old music now some of what advanced my development. Born to a poor, somber, messy home, some songs would strike me and bring in a finer tone. I would follow the music, poetry, and little life dramas that were crafted into songs. Some such craft excelled - a fine and pure creation, which I would join - new spaces available to me, finer than my living space, unfettered by it because of a new private realm for me and a song privately tied to me. Thus not bound to my circumstance. At times feeling home in better spaces. I’ve just started to recognize how significant this was.
