Opportunity
8 AM to 5 PM, continuous, at times intense, medical scheduling and consultations.Listening intently to gruesome prospects –though likely nonfatal. On way to bus stop for home, people across city streetsnow seemed distanced.Assumed to carry the right to their whole bodyalong into the future, which I do not.Deeply familiar MBTA trip home –an old asphalt route, unkempt streets, rusted lamp posts, store fronts and their signs.Normalcy, still present on this bus,is joyful;and I savor that opportunity.
